Job description

We’re currently looking for a freelance Linux Embedded Engineer to join a specific ongoing IoT project. This is ideal for an experienced and independent engineer who is available part- or full-time in the short term and interested in contributing to a focused, impactful project. The work is fully remote, with flexible hours, and we are open only to B2B/freelance cooperation.

You’ll be working as the sole Firmware Engineer taking full ownership of the embedded side on one of the existing projects. You’ll be in direct contact with the US-based client, so we’re looking for someone who’s not only an expert in their field, but also communicative, proactive, and able to drive the topic forward independently. Very good spoken and written English is a must.

You’ll be working on an IoT device, collaborating with a hardware team to bring up a new platform, adapt the embedded Linux stack (based on Yocto/Buildroot), and ensure device readiness for a demo in early October.
